Few useful Keys

The full list of keyboard shortcuts includes


  1. Alt + left click  :  Property window(select a icon or file )
  2. Win+Home:  Clear all but the active window.
  3. Win+Space:  All windows become transparent so you can see through to the desktop.
  4. Win+Up arrow: Maximize the active window.
  5. Shift+Win+Up arrow: Maximize the active window vertically.
  6. Win+Down arrow: Minimize the window/Restore the window if it's maximized.
  7. Win+Left/Right arrows: Dock the window to each side of the monitor.
  8. Shift+Win+Left/Right arrows: Move the window to the monitor on the left or right.
  9. Ctrl+Shift+N: Creates a new folder in Windows Explorer.
  10. Alt+Up: Goes up a folder level in Windows Explorer.
  11. Alt+P: Toggles the preview pane in Windows Explorer.
  12. Shift+Right-Click on a file: Adds Copy as Path, which copies the path of a file to the clipboard.
  13. Shift+Right-Click on a file: Adds extra hidden items to the Send To menu.
  14. Shift+Right-Click on a folder: Adds Command Prompt Here, which lets you easily open a command prompt in that folder.
  15. Win+P: Adjust presentation settings for your display.
  16. Win+(+/-): Zoom in/out.
  17. Win+G: Cycle between the Windows Gadgets on your screen.
  18. Win+L: Lock your workstation
  19. Win+D: Display the desktop
  20. Win+M: Minimize all windows
  21. Win+Shift+M: Maximize all windows
  22. Win+E: Open Computer
  23. Win+F: Search
  24. Win+R: Run dialog
  25. Win+Home: Minimize all but active window

                                      You can also interact with windows by dragging them with the mouse:


                                      • Drag window to the top: Maximize
                                      • Drag window left/right: Dock the window to fill half of the screen.
                                      • Shake window back/forth: Minimize everything but the current window.
                                      • Double-Click Top Window Border (edge): Maximize window vertically.
